First, double-check you typed the key correctly (watch out for I vs 1, O vs 0) and that you are using the right edition (Home vs Pro). A Retail key is fully transferable — you can move it to a new PC when you upgrade hardware. An OEM key is tied to the first machine it activates on and cannot be transferred. OEM keys are cheaper. Error 0xC004F213 means the key does not match your Windows edition. For example, using a Home key on a Pro installation, or vice versa. Make sure you installed the correct edition. If you bought the wrong edition, contact us — we will swap the key for the correct one at no extra charge.

Minor hardware changes (adding RAM, changing storage) usually do not trigger deactivation. A significant change like replacing the motherboard can cause Windows to deactivate because it changes the hardware fingerprint. With a Retail key, you can reactivate by running the Activation Troubleshooter and selecting "I changed hardware on this device recently." OEM keys cannot be moved to a new motherboard.

It depends on the license you purchase. We sell single-device, 3-device, 5-device, and 10-device variants for most antivirus products. The number of covered devices is clearly shown on each product page. Multi-device licenses are the same key — you install and activate on each device using the same code.

Download the ESET installer from eset.com/downloads. Run the installer and when prompted, select "Activate with a license key" and enter your key. ESET validates the key against their servers (internet required). After activation, run an initial scan. For business deployments with multiple machines, use ESET Protect for centralized management.

No — running two real-time antivirus programs simultaneously causes conflicts, significantly degrades performance, and can leave you less protected, not more. Always uninstall your existing antivirus before installing a new one. Windows Defender automatically disables itself when a third-party antivirus is installed, which is the correct behavior.

No, you can checkout as a guest using just your email address. Your key will still be delivered instantly to that email. However, creating a free account gives you permanent access to all your keys in My Library, order history, and easy redownload — we recommend it.

Log in to your account and go to the Account page. Your complete order history and all license keys are available under My Library. You can view, copy, and re-download any key from any past order at any time. Keys never expire from your library.

If a key we sell fails to activate and we cannot provide a working replacement, you receive a full refund — no questions asked. We do not offer refunds for keys that have been successfully activated (the software has been used). If you purchased the wrong product, contact us and we'll do our best to find a solution.
